Minecraft implies using various types of tools, uniforms, and weapons for playing comfortably and protect the character. You’ll have to dig resources in mines, fight mobs and players, and wear armor, both enchanted and ordinary all the time. But in the vanilla version of the game, the system that shows the durability parameters is a little inconvenient, and it’s often unclear at which blow a pickaxe or a sword will break, how long your enchanted bow will «live», how long you can fly on the Elytras before you fall into the abyss. Is the situation familiar? We’ll use the Durability Tooltip mod, which introduces a visual durability indicator for all elements in Minecraft.

The Durability Tooltip add-on will allow you to display durability for all types of tools, weapons, armor, and various items. It automatically receives all the data from the game code or mods and displays the correct information, whether it’s an ordinary element or an enchanted one. It works not only with the vanilla version of Minecraft, but also with almost all the existing add-ons. That is, you’ll be able to see durability of any added element in the game, compare them, and monitor how it changes under different conditions. Cool, isn’t it?

The Durability Tooltip mod review

The Durability Tooltip mod adds an important parameter to the game – durability. It has always been in Minecraft, but in the vanilla version the exact durability of an object is hard to determine, since it’s displayed in the form of stripes, and you don’t understand exactly when the pickaxe, axe, Elytras, and many other important elements will break. And this mod comes to the rescue, showing you the data in the numerical form. You can literally see how each strike changes the situation, because the information is updated in real time. Accordingly, if the player strikes with a pickaxe or a sword, they can see how much durability the item has.

Such elements as armor, tools, weapons, something like scissors, fishing rods, and flint have durability in Minecraft. Unlike before when the player had to constantly open the Wiki or other sources to see what parameters the pickaxe or any other element has, now it’s enough to install the Durability Tooltip mod and forget about unnecessary actions. Information is displayed in the form of tooltips. You need to hover the cursor over the desired item, whether it’s in the chest or the character’s inventory, and the system will display its durability.

The most important thing is that the Durability Tooltip mod supports other add-ons. For example, you have installed Gobber or Extra Armor, and you want to find out what armor characteristics the new types of sets have. But how to do it? In the regular game version, there is no such data, not all mod developers add information to the description, and here the Durability Tooltip add-on comes to the rescue again, and the system will automatically display all the data. You just need to hover the cursor over the desired object and get all the information. It’s convenient and doesn’t load the computer. The add-on can be used in almost any assemble and game version, for which the Durability Tooltip is available.

By default, the system displays data in numeric values, but you can change them in the configuration file and choose a different style. Here, it’s up to each player to choose a convenient form. But anyway, you definitely need to add the Durability Tooltip mod to your modpack, as it offers a lot of functions.
